In the next five years, electricity demand will increase by 1.5 times to 120 billion kilowatt hours, and over the next two years, more than 2000 small and micro power plant plans will be implemented in collaboration with private entrepreneurs. The EPC project contracting of CWPC is led by German company Hyper Partners Group, with a total investment of about 350 million US dollars. It is planned to be put into commercial operation by the end of 2025, and the construction period is expected to create over 800 job opportunities. After completion, it will provide Uzbekistan with 1 billion kilowatt-hours of stable green electricity annually, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 830,000 tons, promote the low-carbon transformation of the local energy sector, and drive economic and social development. It will also effectively alleviate the local power shortage, improve the local power supply structure, and make significant contributions to Uzbekistan’s green development and energy independence.
